Played it on my desktop keeping track of my story/character sheet in a notepad and drawing my map with MS Paint. Ended up being ROUGH despite rolling a very good character. Will definitely try again.
(I made skull rooms into heart rooms because MS paint doesn't have a skull shape tool lol)
I was thinking it was your only weapon. Your choice mate. You could roll a d6 for weapons and if it's a 6 your dagger is just d6+1. Remember to name it, that's important.
Thanks! I rolled a 1 on the weapons table, so the named dagger is the main weapon anyway! How he smuggled it into prison in the first place is another story...
Hahaha. In earlier versions I actually had two doors, but it was edited out as it seemed unnecessary.
I had a mechanic which enabled you to fail a spell, which was also removed. I see now it left the heretical magic-trait a little obselete. I will amend it – thank you for the catch!
sure, and also the zweihander- 2d6 dmg as per the level up chart, or 1d6+1d3+1 as on the character sheet? They both average out at 7 but the 2d6 is just less mental hurdles when adding it all up.
The original idea with this is the weapon on the sheet is a ZWEIHANDER while the one you gain from leveling up is a MIGHTY ZWEIHANDER although I see that, as to your point, they average out. I think I might have to remove the ZWEIHANDER and perhaps include another weapon instead. Or make the other one even MIGHTIER.
I will have to ponder about this too. Thank you for all the valuable feedback, it's really kind of you.
No problem, I’m happy to help. There’s always other gnarly medieval weaponry like the flamberge, guisarme or even the gödendag if you like your clubs with a foot long spike on the end!

Just played this and have to say it's absolutely lovely. Great little size that's easy to bring wherever the and D6 system is a welcome change!
Thanks, man, it means a lot!

Holy hell what an epic adventure. You seemed to be faced with bad luck in terms of empty rooms.
Good on you for running from that stone bear statue though. And awesome of you to map this in MS Paint, love it. Thanks for playing!
Great fun when you want to play a TTRPG on a random weekday but don't have a group handy.
Hello! Quick question: I rolled 2 for my reason for being imprisoned. Do I begin with a d6 dagger as well as finding another weapon in the cell?

It was ... Ehm ... hidden ... Hurtfully so ...
lol my first room roll was a dead end. He didn’t have a chance. Love it!
btw with the heretical magic ability I can reroll a failed spell. How do they fail? It could maybe apply to rolling a 6 on “Summon Thee”?

Thanks! I ended up changing it to a crossbow, which will give you a +1 to attack rolls.
As well as changing hertical magic-trait, so that you know get d6 uses on your spells instead.
There are new files which are version 1.2. There will be more version. (haha.)
